Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)
Job description
Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms.
Architecture and manage data warehouse environments, including databases, schemas, roles, and data-sharing capabilities.
Develop and optimize data models, and establish data governance, security and data quality frameworks.
Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost efficiency.
Integrate data from various sources, including enterprise systems, APIs, SaaS platforms, and third-party providers.
Optimize data warehouse performance, query execution, and storage utilization.
Implement data partitioning, clustering, caching, and workload management standards.
Define and enforce security standards, access controls, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or equivalent major.
3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or related fields.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, with hands-on experience in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.
Expertise in data governance, data security principles and best practices.
Familiar with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure services.
Strong SQL development skills for complex querying, performance optimization and transformation logic.
Effective communication in English (intermediate level and above) and Vietnamese.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications: SnowPro Core, SnowPro Specility, or SnowPro Advanced certification.
